Optimised Australian National Risk Assessment Model (ANRAM) Coding Using Traffic Speed Deflectometer (TSD) Data

Project Overview

To provide safer roads, Main Roads WA needs to be able to identify and prioritise road safety projects. This project explored the suitability and applicability of using Main Roads asset data for coding attributes in an Australian National Risk Assessment Model (ANRAM) /AusRAP safety assessment through comparison and analysis of the results against a manually coded dataset (the ‘Golden’’ dataset). Savings in cost and time may be realised if corporate data could be utilised in coding attributes within safety assessments.
