In order to apply standards published in the Austroads Guides to Western Australia, Main Roads WA developed Engineering Road Notes that supplement the application of those Guides in WA. When designing roads, engineers reference these Guides to achieve the necessary standards of road design. As the national standards were updated, WARRIP assisted Main Roads WA to review and update their supplement for maximum clarity, thorough coverage of topics and the development of requirements that will lead to more cost effective pavements.
